Strange Sightings…

April 17th, 2016 We have had a couple strange sightings in the neighborhood over the past few days and I couldn’t help but grab a few photos. I had to grab this shot for my brother.  He and his boys call ambulances “Whambulances”. So you can imagine our surprise when we pulled around the corner and saw this thing in front of us. We were all cracking up! Driving into the neighborhood after church on Sunday, Adam noticed this guy walking across the road. After we all stopped laughing (he had to be escaping from a crab boil!) the boys got out and scooped him up. This was...

Construction Zone

March 16th- 26th, 2015 When we purchased this home, one of the things that drew us to it was the travertine flooring on a good portion of the first floor.  We had travertine in Baton Rouge and loved it…Loved the look and the easy clean-up.  This house has been a completely different story.  For the past 11 days, we have been living in a construction zone.  76 tiles were cracked and had to be cut out and replaced.  In the “tearing out” process, tiles surrounding the tiles needing to be replaced were chipped and cracked too, bringing the total number of tiles replaced to...

They’re Crazy!

January 3rd, 2014 Uncle Phil gave each of the guys a special treat in their stockings at Christmas… Bean Boozled Jelly Bellies.   These are not your regular jelly bellies, however.  Take a closer look at the flavors. The boys were all over it. After the first couple rounds, they got smart and started biting into each bean and then smelling it. Even the smells were...

Keeping it Classy

December 27th, 2013 What can I say?  This is what happens when you are prepared to take a family photo and realize as soon as you “snap” the photo that the camera is set to the timer function and consecutive shots.  Can you tell we have done this before… many...

You Can’t Make This Stuff Up!

Week #40 of 52- October 1st To tell this story, we have to start back about a month ago.  At Jonah’s 11 year check up, our pediatrician informed me that they were following new guidelines and having all 11 year olds undergo some blood work to establish base line levels for Cholesterol,  Iron, and Hemoglobin.  She wanted Sumner to have the blood work done as well, since he did not have it done last year.  You can imagine the boys’ feelings about this.  We decided to come back another day and just deal with the usual vaccines for this visit. Well, today was the day.  As the...
